If we are to remain consistent with science, we must conclude that God is necessary. He is simply a given because there can be no cause without an effect, and no effect without a cause. As our universe was caused, there must be a first cause, and God is that first cause. Have you considered the statistical probability of Jesus’ existence as a way of proving God’s existence? Check out Peter Stoner’s “Science Speaks”. You may find some rather surprising stuff.
