Ryan Pauly teaches Historical Christian Doctrine and Apologetics, Comparative Religions and Worldviews, and Philosophy of Ethics at a Southern California High School. He is also the training coordinator for the MAVEN immersive experiences and is a Stand to Reason affiliate. Maybe you should be honest with the biblical narrative rather than make videos trying to make excuses and spin “explanations”. If you know about gods command to Saul to completely wipe out the Amalekites, even the babies and infants, and you know about the conquest into canaan, then trying to convince people that those were not genocidal commands is dishonest.

How would it be possible for me to “define away” what the Bible says when I’m asking for your definition. I’m not the one creating definitions here. I want to work with what you say.
Genocide is “the deliberate and systematic extermination of a national, racial, political, or cultural group.” Do you agree? If so, where do you see Scripture saying that God systematically exterminated a people simply based on their race?
